www.bbc.co.uk In the final of So You Think You Can Dance Lizzie and Alastair perform a Samba dance to Magalenha by Sergio Mendes.
They need to..
1. Dance faster or…
2. Stop thinking they can dance.
So they think they can dance this …. they’re wrong.
And the only samba shown here is the music … not the dance
I’ve watched Kathryn/Ryan’s Samba and only the song is the same. The choreographers are different and this routine didn’t have any of the memorable bits from Kathryn/Ryan’s routine.
@DanceFavourites88: The dancers are given routines by choreographers appointed by the judges; presumably in this case they used the same choreographer who used the same routine. Bad decision by the choreographer (who was probably American) – nothing to do with the dancers or “the country” !
wow. nearly the SAME exact routine was done on the US version. do a search on youtube for kathryn and ryan – samba, and you’ll see what i mean.
seriously, can’t this country get their own ideas for routines.
As much as I feel bad that Robbie couldn’t be in the finale, I’m glad Alastair got to be included!
she did every dance amazing that was thrown at her very multi talented!!

Kathryn and Ryan were so amazing that it was always going to be hard to repeat
i don’t think there was enough actual samba steps in this alot of posing.. not enough hip action
i remember seeing almost this exact routine on the us version at some point and…it was much better than this.

these two were my favourites. i wanted alastair to win, then lizzie when he went!

I don’t know what some judges were watching during this. Watching Lizzie I was in Brazil at a carnival(well in my mind)Well I ‘ll admit it I could gladly watch her dance all day. As for Alastair he did a wonderful job it’s just a shame he didn’t make the final in his own right.
I DO NOT LIKE THE SAMBA
I love how the judges thought that there was something going on between these two. I wish there was-these two are my faves, and Robbie too. I was devastated when he couldn’t do it.
