www.bbc.co.uk In Week 4 of So You Think You Can Dance Yanet & Robbie perform a Lindy Hop dance to It Doesnt Mean A Thing If It Aint Got That Swing by Billy Banks. But will they have all the right moves to stay in the competition? Every week, one boy and one girl will take their final bow and dance their way out of So You Think You Can Dance. Cat Deeley presents as Arlene Phillips, ‘Nasty’ Nigel Lythgoe, Louise Redknapp and Sisco Gomez search for Britain’s favourite dancer. The remaining eight dance as four couples in a variety of styles, along with performing a short, solo dance each.

it was a litlle sloopy
that was cute, but too bad there wasnt much actual lindy hop in that routine. i agree with hotohorifan411 – way more props in this show, to mask the fact that the choreography isnt that great (except when they use old dances from the US version) and the dancers are mediocre.
I DONT BLAME THE TEACHER! We can see Yanets beauty and grace in Week 1 when she performed the American Fox Trot with Robbie… I thought it was beautiful and there is no way that Yanet would have been able to have the glide need for the American Fox Trot without the contemporary/ ballet skills that she obviously has!
what song is this?
Also it was kinda offensive and culturally ignorant that the BBC labeled & lumped her as a “salsa dancer” simply because she is latin american. Her training and degree actually is in contemporary/ballet and they knew that – cubans don’t learn salsa in school, for them its just a social street dance they grow up with. In fact one of Yanet’s old cuban teachers living in London was quite offended by this labeling.
Can’t believe the comment Sisco made at the end of this performance, to say she was the weakest of the 4 girls when this was the first performance of the night was a low blow and speaks volumes about his personal bias. In fact he has probably been the least objective and helpful of all the judges throughout the whole show, often making blanket judgments with little or no rationale behind it.
Robbie with his hair like that looks like my cousin!!
LOL!
I noticed that SYTYCD BBC likes to use a LOT of props and fancy sets, more than usual in the original SYTYCD…I feel like ppl like this b/c of the set than the actual dancing of lindy hop (is this even a popular dance in Britain????)
OMG!!! THAT WAS INSANE!!! OMG!!! Nice performance
I think i will steal some moves
cool very hip hop he’s the mad science leader
Does anyone think that Robbie is a bit like a male version of Agyness Deyn? And thats a good thing btw! I love Agy! Robbie too! Also Lizzie and Alastair! Okay I will stop rambling now lol =]
I’m so upset Yanet left. She was the best in the show, I think, the most versatile, flexible and feminine. She is the best rnb dancer between girls too. And the person, who said she need to lose her weight, is crazy – she is the slimest one!
I wouldn’t say they were terible. It’s just they are the weakest of the couples left but still excellent dancers.Yanet does stuggle a bit with technique so I was not surprised that Charlie was saved over her. Robbie um, I can’t put my finger on it maybe it’s because he is so tall but his dances look strange in comparision to the other males so I am surprised he was saved over Drew.
this was awful i feel bad cause they are good
She should lose some weight then try again next year
I am suprised Yanet even made it this far… terrible
: )
BBC rocks!!
