British comedian Jack Dee explains why you should never surprise an ex-SAS officer in a pub. Hilarious stand up comedy live at the Apollo Theatre in London. From the BBC

Grr you people know NOTHING! you can try out for SAS after 3 years of service! in anything combat related example- Royal engineer can apply! you don’t have to join RM- and be put on the frontline they might be the best fighting team but their certainly the lowest paid!
eddie stone said the sas is 70% scottish in sas r u tough enough
Yh, if everyone who said they were in the SAS wasn’t lying Hereford would be the size of Canada!
@ElectricLoveland SAS is tri service so RM can and DO become members of the sas just like paras DO become members of sbs
@keirfree becasue clearly there is only 1 Ex Sas officer with a twitch. Its not like twitches in people who have worked stressfull jobs are common or anything.
Guess you had to be there…
@ElectricLoveland Royal Marine Commandos can go for SAS. They just generally choose SBS because they already have experience in that sort of field.
@di55illu5ioned alright m8 calm down
@alifor9 i was also in the sas when i turned ten came out had to go school
Where are you lot getting your info from?! ultimate force and chinese wispers by the sound of it! any male from any of the 3 armed forces can go on sas selection as long as they have served a minimum of 2 years, you get 2 attempts failing that you dont get a third chance unless hereford personally ask for you! any serving or ex serving will tell you the same!
@SoulManTom That’s very true, the Scottish regiments are very tough. Although the Scots are surprisingly 3rd most populous SAS soldier behind the English and Fijians.
@ridicule401 Actually I’m basing my knowledge on being an officer in the forces for 10 years and having played rugby against the SAS. My uncle (Army) was also accepted for entry into the SAS, however he was killed before becoming a fulltime member. So, I’ll stick to my knowledge, against the question of some Marine wannabe who asked some Marine who was probably tryinig to just get him to shut up, any day of the week and twice on Sundays.
@ridicule401 SAS are never Royal Marines. Royal Marines are part of the Royal Navy and the special forces of the Royal Navy are called the SBS. The SAS is a part of the British Army. They’re two separate organisations. However, the SAS does have a boat troop with equivalent skills to an SBS squadron
@robsterbot2006 Do you know how many Taff’s, Mac’s, Tiny’s, Jock’s, Ginge’s, Paddy’s and Bob’s there can be in one unit. As I said just cos they were both in the same troop doesn’t mean they were conjoined. FFS!
@di55illu5ioned no its also because he referes to “mac” aswell, his m8 (John MacAleese)
@SoulManTom and there are lots of scots in the army as there are few other options …north sea oilrig maybe?
@fryer234 to true
making fun of them is he, bastard.
In the UKSF there are three SF units and one support group. There of course is 22 SAS, the Special Boat Service (SBS), the Special Reconnaissance Regiment (SRR), and the Special Forces Support Group (SFSG).
marines are aloud in there the best light infantry in the world they make better soldiers than the army or raf the sas is a group any force can join ive sighned up for the marines and even asked one of the marines there is it possible for me to join the sas when i progress your fighting fact with opinion
@ridicule401 Exactly on what are you basing this? My personal experience is that the SAS is comprised almost exclusively if Army and RAF Regiment personnel. Where are you getting Marines from?
@mezzer99 no they can go in to the sas aswell most sas are royal marines
lol
Rofl, he does an accurate impression of Mac.
new word for shit house
